The rate given here isn't complete. "6ft/"---?? Is this supposed to be 6ft/second? If it is 6 ft/second, then the answer to this question is that Car B will never overtake Car A. (Car A travels about 45ft/sec.)

Dear tutor @VFBundy,
you are a great solver and a first class tutor, and work practically with no errors.
In this problem, PLEASE keep in mind that car B accelerates uniformly (!)
So, its path in "space-time" is a parabola; so, somewhen car B inevitably will overtake car A.
If and when you fix your solution, I will erase this my note.
Good luck (!)
