Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
On a 100-mile hike, Mike walks 15 miles the first day, 10% of what is left the next day and 0.2 of the total the following day.
:
Day 1: 100 - 15 = 85 mi remain
Day 2: .10(85) = 8.5 therefore: 85 - 8.5 = 76.5 mi remain
Day 3: .2(100) = 20, therefore: 76.5-20 = 56.5 mi remain
"What percent of the hike has Mike left to walk? "
= 56.5%
