Speed going up is x km/h or 2.5x km distance
speed going down is (x+3) km/h or 1.5(x+3) or 1.5x+4.5 km
Those distances are equal
so 2.5x=1.5x+4.5
or x=4.5 km/h
It was 11.25 km up (2.5 x)
and 11.25 km down (1.5*7.5)
He biked the sum or 22.5 km.
