Your weekly paycheck is 20% less than your coworker's. Both of the paychecks total $745. Find the amount of each paycheck. Should be two answers A) your paycheck B) co-worker paycheck
-----
Let coworker's paycheck be x.
Then your paycheck will be 0.8x.
----
Equation:
x + 0.8x = 745
1.8x = 745
x = 745/1.8 = $486.11 (coworker's paycheck)
----
0.8x = $388.89 (your paycheck)
