Thank you for your help... i'm not to sure how to get this problem started.

If one car is going at 55 and the other 65, they are separating at a rate of 120mph.
And since the distance which we're concerned about is 150, we can plug these into the distance equation and find the time for which these conditions are true.

D = RT

(150) = (120)T
T = 1.25

Since we'ew measuring time in hours, and one quarter of an our is fifteen minutes, our answer is 1 hour and 15 minutes.
