When my speedometer reads 100km/h, how fast in metres per second, is my car actually travelling?

let s = actual speed
1.1s = 100
s = 100/1.1
s ~ 91 mph

Multiply by 1000 to convert km into m,
Divide by 3600 to convert hr into sec.,
Your car is actually traveling at m/s.
