Question 111881: Could you please help me solve this problem. Thank you in advance.
An object moved in one direction for 8 seconds at a constant speed. It
reversed direction for 3 seconds with its rate doubled and then reversed
direction again for 1 second at 40% of its initial speed. Find the three
speeds if the object was 9.6 m from its start at the end of 12 seconds.
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let x="first speed", so 2x="second speed" and .4x="third speed"
8(x)-3(2x)+1(.4x)=9.6
