Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Start----------------------------skier---------------------------Finish
-------------------x------------------------------45-x-----------
Location is x.
That is x from the start, and it is 45-x from the finish
We know that the first is 19 km more than the second
so x is 19 km less than 45-x
x+19 = 45-x
2x=26
x=13 km from the start and 32 km from the finish.
That is 19 km less.
