one solar heating panel can rise the temperature of water 1 degree in 16 min.
A second solar heating panel can raise the temperature 1 degree in 24 min.
how long will it take to raise the temperature of water 1 degree if both panels are operating?
:
let t = time in minutes with both solar panels
+ = 1
multiply eq by 48
48* + 48* = 48(1)
Cancel the denominators
3t + 2t = 48
5t = 48
t = 48/5
t = 9.6 minutes
