The tourists agreed to leave the bicycle at intermediate points between which one walks and the other rides. What will the mean speed of the tourists be? How long will the bicycle remain unused?

Your condition is incomplete, since you did not defined the walking speed of the second tourist and the biking speed of the first tourist.

I suspect that the correct formulation should be like this:

"The walking speed of each tourist is 5 km/h; the biking speed of each is 15 km/h".
