Question 1084508: Running at an average rate of 6 miles per hour, how many minutes would it take Kyle to run 3 miles?
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
rate * time = distance.
rate is in miles per hour.
time is in hours.
distance is in miles.
when rate = 6 miles per hour and distance = 3 miles, this formula becomes:
6 * time = 3
solve for time to get time = 3/6 = 1/2 an hour.
1/2 an hour * 60 = 30 minutes.
