The van can carry a maximum of 7 passengers.
Given that the van can travel 88 km per hour with 3 passengers in the van..
what will be the speed of the van when 6 passengers are on board
:
linear equation form y = mx + b
pass|speed

x=0; we know the equation is y = mx + 100
when x=3, y=88,we can find m
3m + 100 = 88
3m = 88 - 100
3m = -12
m = -12/3
m = -4
the equation: y = -4x + 100
find y when x = 6
y = -4(6) + 100
y = -24 + 100
y = 76 mph when carrying 6 passengers

V(t) = Vmax -kt, where t: it's the number of passengers that carries.
V(t) = 100 -3k = 88.
3k = 100 - 88 = 12
k=4.
So V(t) = 100- 4t.
V(6) = 100 -4*6 = 100 - 24 = 76 Km/hr.
