I have no idea what that X and the Y is on this and yeah and I need to find out The equation to solve it but I don't know what it is and I need help because I didn't pay attention in class and now I'm lost I need help thanks

If the total distance is X miles, and they have 27 miles left to go, then the distance they have already traveled is X-27. So D=X-27. The time it took them to drive this distance is X-27/60. ☺☺☺☺
