more than 1/2 of the original number. Find the original number.
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
certain number=x
x+30 divided by 6=(x/2)+1
(x+30)/6=(x/2)+1
x+30=6(x/2)+1
x+30=3x+6
2x=24
x=12
add 30 (42)and divide by 6 get 7. Seven is one more than half of 12.
