One bus is south of the terminal, driving north at 37 miles per hour.
At the same time, another bus is north of the terminal and is driving south at 45 miles per hour.
They are currently 54 miles apart.
How long will it be before the buses arrive at the terminal?
:
They are traveling toward each other, their effective speed: 37+45 = 82 mph
How long to travel 54 mi a 82 mph?
= .6585 hrs which is .6585*60 = 39.5 min they arrive at the terminal
