Question 1059427: A conveyor belt carries filled bottles of milk to be packed. The bottles are placed five feet apart on the belt. If the belt is moving at a rate of two feet per second, how many bottles will be packed in one minute?
Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
ft/sec is the rate of the belt
This is the same rate as:
ft/sec
The bottles are ft apart, so the
rate will be bottles/sec
------------------------------------
In terms of units:
[ bottles/sec ] x [ sec ] = [ bottles ]
Convert min to sec
24 bottles will be packed in 1 min
------------------------------------
I think the answer could possibly be
if the 1st bottle is all ready to be packed.
I'll stick with
