.Please help me with this word problem
Susan wants to mix 10 pounds of Virginia peanuts that cost $3.50 a pound with Spanish peanuts that cost $3.00 a pound
to obtain a mixture that costs $3.40 a pound. How many pounds of Spanish peanuts should she use?

Let "x" be an amount of Spanish peanuts, in pounds.
Then the governing equation is
3.50*10 + 3.00*x = 3.40*(10+x).
3.50*10 is the cost of 10 pounds of Virginia peanuts.
3.00*x is the cost of x pounds of Spanish peanuts.
The sum on the left side is the cost of the mix.
The right side is the cost of the mix expressed by another way.
Now you need to solve the equation (*) and find the unknown "x".
