55(x+1)+50x = 300
55x+55+50x = 300
105x = 245
x = 245/105 = 2.33 hours or 0.3333*60 = 20 thus 2 hours and 20 minutes
Note: There are 60 minutes in an hour, this is why 0.3333 of an hour times 60
