Question 1048789: Two planes are 2800 miles apart fly towards each other. Their speeds differ by 50 mph. If they pass each other in 4 hours, what the speed of each?
Answer by advanced_Learner(501) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2800=4u+(u-50)4
3000=4u+4u
u=3000/8=375
so the speed of the first car is 375
and the other cars speed is 325
check
375t+325t=2800
700t=2800
t=4
