Question 1047283: Two cars leave Richmond Virginia at the same time. The cars travel in opposite directions one traveling north east at 65 MPH and one traveling south west at 47MPH. When will the two cars be 206 miles apart. This seems pretty staight foward but my solution is not right according to the back of the book.

The cars, going in opposite directions, move away from eachother at 65+47 miles per hour. This is 112 miles per hour.
