Question 1046194: One driver finished a race in 5 hours 13 minutes. Another finished in 7 hours and 4 minutes. How much longer did it take?
I wonder how to start it? I think I got it, but I feel it wrong.
But, here is what I did. I got the 5 hours and 13 minutes driver and when to the calculator and put, 5x60. Since, a hour = 60. So, 5x60 =300, then I add 13 minutes in, I got 313 for the first driver.
For the second one, I did the same way as the first one I got, 424. Next, I subtracted them 424-313= 111. So I think my answer is 1 hour & 11 minutes is how much longer it took.
