Question 1040995: A bus traveling 50 m/s is increasing its speed at the rate of 4 m/s.
A.find the distance covered in 6 s.
B.if its speed in decreasing at the rate of 4 m/s, find the distance civered in 6 secondss and the time it takes to come at rest

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A bus traveling 50 m/s is increasing its speed at the rate of 4 m/s.
A. find the distance covered in 6 s.
After 6 seconds, its speed = 50 + 6*4 = 74 m/s
The average speed for the 6 seconds = (50+74)/2 = 62 m/s
6*62 = 372 meters
===============
B. if its speed in decreasing at the rate of 4 m/s, find the distance civered in 6 seconds
---
Do it like part A
---
and the time it takes to come at rest
50/4 = 12.5 seconds
