Question 1036847: Sally left the house to go to the airport at 6 am and was going 40mph. Chris left the house at 7 am and was going 60mph. If they arrived at the airport at the same time, how many miles is the airport in relation to the starting point( the house)?

40 mph * x hours=60 mph * (x-1) hours
40x=60x-60
-20x=-60
x=3 hours
Airport is 120 miles away.
