Answer by checkley75(3666)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
360/(x+2)=270/x cross multiply
360x=270x+540
360x-270x=540
90x=540
x=540/90
x=6 hours for the 270 mile trip.
6+2=8 hours for the 360 mile trip.
proof
360/8=270/6
4.5=4.5
