Question 1032077: Two buses leave towns
900km
apart at the same time and travel toward each other. One bus travels
18

/kmh
faster than the other. If they meet in
5
hours, what is the rate of each bus?

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let speed of buses be x & x+18 km/h
They are moving towards each other . so add their speeds
x+x+18 = 2x+18
t=d/r
5= 900/2x+18
10x+90 = 900
10x = 810
x=81
speed of buses 81 & 99 km/h
