Hi there,
Make tickets for children = 'x'
Tickets for adults = 'y'
x + y = 282.......(1)
5x + 7.5y = 1885....(2)
Multiply Eq(1) by 7.5
7.5x + 7.5y = 2115....(1)
5x + 7.5y = 1885......(2)
Subtract Eq(2) from Eq(1)
2.5x = 230
x = 92
Substitute x = 92 into Eq(1)
x + y = 282
92 + y = 282
y = 190
Children = 92
Adults = 190
Hope this helps :-)
