Question 1023087: On a world map, the distance between city A and B is 8.625 inches. The two cities are actually 2588 miles apart. On the same map, what would be the distance between city C and D, two cities that are actually 2214 miles apart?

If the relations are constant, then:
8.625/2588=x/2214
2588x=2214 x 8.625
x equals approx. 7.38 inches apart on the map!!!!!!!!
