If they travel in the opposite direction (the only way this problem really makes sense at this level), then in two hours they cover 208 miles. Thus, their rates are a combined 104 miles per hour.
Call the slower car's rate, r.
The faster will be r+8.
Then we have
r + r+8 = 104
2r + 8 = 104
2r = 96
r = 48 mph (slower car)
r+8 = 56 mph (faster car)
