Question 1019104: Two cities are 210 km apart. A train traveled this distance in 4 and 2/3 hours and then made the return trip at a speed of 50 2/5 and km/h. How many times greater (or less) was the train’s speed on the return trip?
Answer by jorel555(1290) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the train traveled 210 km in 4-2/3 hours, it's average speed was 210/4.66667 km/h, or 45 km/h. It then makes the return trip in 50.4 hrs, so the ratio is 50.4/45, or 1.12 times faster!!!!!!!
