Question 1011213: Jessica starts out jogging at 5 miles/hr then in 1.5 hour she is jogging only at 3 miles/hr. What is her deceleration?
Answer by fractalier(6550) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Acceleration (or deceleration) is change in velocity divided by the change in time.
Here her change in velocity is -2 mph.
It takes 1.5 hours to do that.
Thus a = -2/1.5 = -1.333 miles per hour per hour
