Time for the 16 men is t days.
Both of those are for 1 job.

Convert this to man-days. If it takes 12 men 9 days, then:
(12 men) × (9 days) = 108 man-days
That is, the entire job requires 108 man-days. So if we had 16 men, then:
108/16= 6.75 days
