let x represent the first number
let 3-x(2) represent the second number
x+3-x(2)=36
2x+3(2)=36
2x+6=36
2x=36-6
2x=30
2x divided by 2=30 divided by 2
x=15
15-3(2)=12(2)=24
so for my 2 numbers i have 15 and 24
