Question 414158: If x is the first of three consecutive integers, express the sum of 23 and the third integer as an algebraic expression in terms of x.
I know that x is the first, x+1 would be the second and the third would be x+2. What I do not understand is how to write out the equation.
The best I can figure it out would be:
x+x+1=23+x+2 = x+25
Is that correct?
