Ok....
Mount Everest = E
Let K2 = K
E = K + 237
Sum of both mountains is a total height of 17459
Our eqauation is E + K = 17459
So we subtitue E with (K + 237)
so our eqaution now looks like this:
Let solve for K
Lets combine Terms on the left side of the equation
Now Subtract 237 from both sides =
Sow we divide both side by 2 =
So we now know K2's height is 8,611 Meters
So Mount Everest = 8,611 + 237 = 8,848 Meters
Check 8,611 + 8,848 = 17,459
Answer by askmemath(368) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the height of K2 = K
Then height of Mt.Everest = K+237
Combined height = 17459
or K+ K+237 = 17459
Can you solve it from here?
