Let:
First number = x+2
Second number = x+4
Third number = x+6
Than:
[(10)(x+2)]+2= (4)[(x+4)+(x+6)]
Find three consecutive odd intergers such that 4 times the sum of the last two is 2 greater than ten times the first.
10x+20+2= (4)(2x+10)
10x+22=8x+40
10x-8x=40-22
2x=18
2x/2=18/2
x=9
.
First number = 9+2=11
Second number = 9+4=13
Third number = 9+6=15
