Hi dear,
Let the nimber be "x"
The product of 4 and a number is 4x,if 13 is subtracted from it,it becomes 4x-13.if the result is the sum of 5 and the original number.
then,
4x-13=5+x
solving the equations:
4x-x=5+13
3x=18
x=6
The number is 6
HOPE THIS HELPS?
