Question 980179: The profit of an organization is calculated by the function P(x) = x^2-4000X + 7800000, where x is the nujmber of units sold. If the net profit is 3,800,000, fine the number of items sold.
Answer by onlinepsa(22)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P(x) = x^2-4000X + 7800000
=> 3,800,000 = x^2-4000X + 7800000
=> x^2-4000X + 40,00,000 = 0
=> x^2- 2*x*2000X + 2000^2 = 0
=> x = 2000 = number of items sold.
