Question 951065: Hello I am taking the sat and I've just come across abit of a funny question and I would like some help on how to get through a question like this thanks
If the sum of two numbers is 10 and one of these numbers is equ al to the sum of 6 and twice the other number what is the value of the larger number minus the smaller number
Then I had a a selection of number and fractions

A. 2
B. 5 1/4 I converted this to 21/4
C. 6
D. 7 1/3 I converted this to 22/3
E. 8 1/2 I converted this to 17/2
But I'm still abit confused because of the question :(
