Please help me. I'm in grade seven and this was in my homework. My math teacher said she taught us everything in the homework. Finishing the work is not my problem, I need to know this before my exam so I won't fail.

T=third number; S=second number; F=first number
S=F+9
T=3S=3(F+9)=3F+27
F+S+T=101 Substitute for S and T
F+(F+9)+(3F+27)=101
5F+36=101 Subtract 36 from each side.
5F=65 Divide each side by 5
F=13 ANSWER The first number is 13.
S=F+9=13+9=22 ANSWER 2: The second number is 22
T=3S=3(22)=66 ANSWER 3: The third number is 66
CHECK:
F+S+T=101
13+22+66=101
101=101
