Answer by macston(5194) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
F=First number; S=Second number=8F; T=Third number=F+100
F+S+T=960 Substitute for S and T
F+8F+F+100=960 Subtract 100 from each side.
10F=860 Divide each side by 10
F=86 ANSWER 1: The first number is 86
S=8F=8(86)=688 ANSWER 2: The second number is 688
T=F+100=86+100=186 ANSWER 3: The third number is 186.
CHECK
F+S+T=960
86+688+186=960
960=960
