Write an equation for each statement
:
The sum of two positive numbers is 68.
a + b = 68
their difference is 28.
a - b = 28
find the numbers.
Use elimination here
a + b = 68
a - b = 28
----------------addition eliminates b, find a
2a = 96
a = 96/2
a = 48
