let x-1,x,x+1 be the three consecutive whole numbers
their sum =(x-1)+x+((x+1)
=x-1+x+x+1
=3x
but the sum is 2013
3x= 2013
divide with on both sides
x=671
x-1 =671-1 =670
x+1 = 671+1 =672
so the three consecutive whole numbers are 670,671,672
