Let the first part = x.
Then, second part = (25 - x).

According to the problem:
Second part = 2(first part) - 5
So, (25 - x) = 2x - 5
3x = 30
x = 30/3 = 10
So, (25 - x) = 25 - 10 = 15

So the two parts are: 10 and 15.
