Answer by ptfile(81) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let 79+x = larger number
x = smaller number
The difference between two numbers is 79.
(79+x)- x = 79
7 times the smaller is equal to 5 more than the larger.
7x = (79+x)+5
7x = 84+x
6x = 84
x = 14
Substitute x with 14
79 + 14
93
The larger number is 93 while the smaller number is 14
Check
93 - 14 = 79
7(14) = 93 + 5
98 = 98
