Answer by srinivas.g(540) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let x , y be the 2 numbers
one number is 4 less than another number
so x= y+4
but x+y= 100
put x=y+4 in above equation
(y+4) +y= 100
y+4+y= 100
2y+4 =100
subtract 4 on both sides
2y+4-4 =100-4
2y = 96
divide with 2 on both sides
2y/2 = 96/2
y= 48
hence x = 48+4
=52
so numbers are 52 & 48
