Question 921099: Find a four-digit number that satisfies the following: The digits are all different, the sum of the four digits is 7, each digit is larger than the one to its right, and the ones digit is zer

_ _ _ 0

The tens digit can't be 2 or larger for even if it were 2,
the smallest the number could be would be 4320, and the
sum of the digits would be 9 not 7,

So the tens digit can only be 1

_ _ 1 0

The first two digits have to have sum = 6, and so the only
two different digits greater than 1 which have sum 6 are 4 and 2.

So the answer is

4 2 1 0
