Answer by Jynald-(6)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let x be the smaller number
let 5x be the bigger number

5x + x = 114
6x = 114
6x/6 = 114/6
x = 19 smaller number
bigger number = 5x
= 5(19)
= 95

checking:
smaller number + bigger number = 114
19 + 95 = 114
114 = 114
