Question 890072: The sum of three different positive integers is 12. Let x be the greatest possible product of the three integers, and let y be the least possible product of the integers. What is the average (arithmetic mean) of x and y?
Answer by Okamiden(22)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1x2x9=18 is the least possible product, assuming you can't take the same number twice.
3x4x5=60 is the biggest product.
(60+18)/2=39 is the mean.
Hope that helps.
