Question 883083: the sum of a number squared and six times the same number squared
Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Your statement can be interpreted two ways:
if you read "six times (the same number squared)"
or
if you read "(six times the same number) squared"
Two VERY different results. And no matter what anyone tells you, there is no reason to choose one interpretation over the other without at least some contextual clues or perhaps some interpretation rules given you by your instructor.

My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
