Fill the 3 litre container. Pour it into the 5 litre container.
Fill the 3 litre container. Fill the 5 litre container.
Pour the liquid in the 5 litre container back into the barrel.
Pour the last litre in the 3 litre container into the 5 litre container.
Fill the 3 litre container. Pour it into the 5 litre container which will now contain 4 litres of liquid.
